The B-stance Romanian deadlift (RDL) is a variation of the traditional RDL exercise that emphasizes single-leg stability and unilateral strength. Here's a breakdown of how to perform a B-stance RDL:
1️⃣ Start by standing with your feet hip-width apart, with one foot slightly in front of the other. The front foot (B-stance foot) should be about six inches in front of the back foot.
2️⃣ Hold a dumbbell or kettlebell in your right hand, and lift your left foot off the ground, balancing on your right foot. Your left foot should be flexed and hovering just off the ground.
3️⃣ Hinge at your hips and lower your torso down towards the ground while keeping your back straight and your chest up. Allow your right knee to bend slightly as you lower the weight down towards the ground.
4️⃣ As you lower the weight down towards the ground, push your hips back and extend your left leg behind you, keeping your foot flexed and your toes pointing up.
5️⃣ Lower the weight down towards the ground until you feel a stretch in your hamstrings, then reverse the movement and use your right glutes and hamstrings to pull yourself back up to the starting position.
Repeat for the desired number of reps, then switch sides and perform the exercise with the weight in your left hand and your right foot in front.
Key tips for performing a B-stance RDL include keeping your core engaged throughout the movement, maintaining a slight bend in your knees, and avoiding rounding your back or letting your hips rotate as you lower the weight down towards the ground. It's also important to start with a lighter weight and focus on proper form before increasing the weight to avoid injury.

Knee banded kickback
1️⃣Start by attaching a resistance band around one knee.
2️⃣Begin in a quadruped position (on your hands and knees) with your hands shoulder-width apart and your knees hip-width apart. Engage your core to maintain a neutral spine and keep your head in line with your spine.
3️⃣Keeping your knee bent, slowly lift your leg with the band wrapped around it, pressing your heel back and up towards the ceiling. Focus on squeezing your glutes at the top of the movement.
4️⃣Lower your leg back down to the starting position and repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
5️⃣Be sure to keep your core engaged throughout the exercise to stabilize your spine and prevent excessive movement in your hips and lower back.
6️⃣To increase the challenge, you can use a heavier resistance band or add ankle weights. You can also perform the exercise on your forearms instead of your hands to further engage your core muscles.
