Porridge- low in calories high in fiber and slow release carbohydrates. Perfect to start your day. Cherry green tea! Best mid morning/afternoon drink as it doesn’t trigger a biscuit/chocolate craving. 0-10 Cal’s a cup! Vegetable broth- loaded with micronutrients this is a winter must have. Low in calories and nice and warm..serve with a crusty brown bread.Biscoff. Low calorie and tasty! Only 75 cals for a two pack! Cottage pie. Good hearty meal that can be batch cooked from scratch for little time for the family. Simply total your ingredients and divide by portions to work out the calories. Simply walk more!Get the kids coats on and go for a walk round the park, forget that it’s cold and wet, you’ll feel better when you get back home and the kids are tired and the house is nice and warm! A good walk everyday is a shit ton of calories burnt over a year!2. Pick up some weights!Dedicate 2-4 hours a week where you get out and spend some time working on yourself! Lifting weights will@shape your body and release stress! You’ll have better posture and as you get stronger you will get a massive sense of achievement! There is no draw backs from weight training! You can even get a kettlebell or dumbbell and do it from home! 3. Eat your greens!! Not only will it help fill you up and give you shit loads of energy and micro nutrients but you’ll be first hand showing your kids healthy dietary habits! Come on you can not expect your kids to be healthy if you aren’t setting the example! 4. Get some protein! Fill up on protein and you will eat less food overall! It’s satiates the fuck out of the body! More protein = feeling fuller for longer! Add in the other benefits of more muscle (if you lift weights), healthier nails, hair etc and it’s a no brained! 5. Practice self control! Stop eating the kids leftovers, stop having biscuits every time you drink tea, stop saying you have no time! Control what you eat, control how you spend your time, control what you think about! We have teamed up with the metropolitan food bank to help people that are struggling this Christmas.
What to bring?
Any tinned or dry foods that have a long shelf life, ie soups, beans, cereals, pasta, rice etc.
We will start collecting food straight away, so swing by anytime to donate.
